Case 1 - New IT DevOps Hub Establishment

Customer: Leading German Luxury OEM

Industry: Automotive

Region: China

Challenges/Opportunities:
The client was setting up a new IT hub as a service center for software development and technology scouting in China. They needed to ensure that the legal entity was set up within the specified timeline and that internal customers adopted the new working model with a new internal supplier.

Approach:
We adopted a comprehensive approach that integrated both change management and project management methodologies to support the initiative, including:

Change Management
• Introduction of and enabling new roles and responsibilities.
• Implementation of new processes and working models within the hub and with customers.

Project Management
• Steering of 10 work packages focused on legally and administratively establishing the IT hub.
• Recruitment of software developers.
• Setting up a funnel management system with internal customers.

Impact:
The IT hub was successfully established, including the setup of a new company branch. The leadership structure and working model for the new setup were designed and aligned both internally and externally. With the establishment of the new organization and working model, the R&D capability was enhanced to be in line with the company’s strategic goals.

Case 2 - Work Units Reorganization

Customer: German Logistics Provider

Challenges/Opportunities:
The client aimed to design and implement a Target Operational Model (TOM) that involved reorganizing three existing software delivery units into one global software delivery center with four locations, impacting approximately 700 employees.

Approach:
Design of Target Operating Model (TOM) 
Collaborated with the senior leadership team using an agile approach; monthly sprints followed by a steering committee helped to rapidly implement new parts of the organization.

Implementation of the new TOM
• Designed an overarching Change Architecture.
• Developed and executed communication measures.
• Designed and conducted enabling sessions.

Simulation of the new TOM
Conducted simulations with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and readiness.· Design and implementation of a robust Change Architecture to guide the process.
